Yes - Indian sandstone and other natural stone can be pressure washed safely, as long as it's done at the right pressure. The key is to dial the pressure down and use water alone rather than blasting the stone, so the surface is lifted clean without being pitted, scarred or left patchy.
The risk with natural stone
Sandstone is softer and more porous than concrete, so a domestic pressure washer held too close or at full power can chew up the surface, leave swirl marks and open up the stone to more staining later. Porcelain and delicate slabs need a gentle touch too.
