How much does it cost to clean a driveway?

In Surrey and the wider South East, most driveways cost between £180 and £300 to have professionally cleaned. As a rough guide, a single-car driveway is around £180, a double around £240, and a large four-car driveway around £300. The final price depends on the size, the surface and how dirty it is.

What changes the price

Three things move the number up or down more than anything else:

  • Size - the bigger the area, the longer it takes, so a sprawling four-car drive costs more than a compact one.
  • Surface - block paving takes a little longer than plain concrete because the dirt, moss and weeds have to be lifted out of the joints as well as off the surface.
  • Condition - a drive with heavy moss, weeds or ingrained algae is more work than one that's just lost its colour.

Access matters too. If everything is easy to reach with a water supply nearby, the job is straightforward. Awkward, gated or split-level drives can take a bit longer.

Why we quote a fixed price the same day

You shouldn't have to wait around for a site visit to find out what a clean will cost. Send a photo of your driveway and your postcode on WhatsApp and Mark sends back a firm, fixed price the same day - usually within the hour. That price is what you pay, and you only pay once you're happy with the result.

What a professional clean includes

A proper clean is more than a quick rinse. We clean with water alone and professional kit - no harsh chemicals - matching the pressure to your surface so the paving and pointing aren't damaged. We work the moss, weeds and grime out of the joints as well as the surface, then tidy up before we leave, every time.

Common questions

Is it cheaper to clean a driveway myself?

A domestic pressure washer is cheaper up front, but it's slow, and used at the wrong pressure it can strip the surface or blow out the jointing. A professional clean gets an even, thorough result in a few hours with the right kit - and we only charge once you're happy.

Do you need to visit to give a price?

Usually not. A photo on WhatsApp plus your postcode is enough for a fixed price the same day. If you'd rather we popped round, we're happy to give a free in-person quote too.

How long does a driveway clean take?

Most driveways are done in a few hours in a single visit. Larger or heavily soiled drives can take a little longer - we'll tell you when we quote.
